General Note: Live Aid was a dual-venue concert held on July 13, 1985. The event was organised by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for relief of the ongoing Ethiopian famine. Billed as the "global jukebox," the event was held simultaneously at Wembley Stadium in London, England, and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Comedians and performers featured include Harry Belafonte, Eric Clapton, Cher, Chevy Chase, Sheena Easton, Hall and Oates, Jim Kerr (Simple Minds), Pretenders, Teddy Pendergrass, Peter Paul and Mary, Joe Piscopo, Power Station, REO Speedwagon, Lionel Richie, the Thompson Twins, George Thorogood, Tina Turner, and Dionne Warwick, as well as promoter Bill Graham. Some shots include the "We Are the World" finale. There is also a crowd shot.
