The Meri Gibb Collection of Rock Festival Interviews are dated 1970 to 1971 and consists of 22 transcriptions of interviews by David Isaacson from 1970-1971. Interviewees include the manager of Sly and the Family Stone, and various producers of concerts and festivals. These items will be useful to researchers interested in festivals and the youth culture of the early 1970s. Seen in a broader context, the collection provides insights to the production of music festivals of the early 1970s, the types of performers that appeared at those festivals, and how they were promoted. The collection is arranged alphabetically by interviewee.
