Biography / Administrative History
Carole McClellan is an American designer who is known for the use of leather and repurposed fur in her designed. She began her career professionally in the late 1970’sand was discovered by Ann Wilson of Heart for whom she designed and fabricated rock and roll looks.
Ann Wilson is an American singer and songwriter best known as the lead singer of the rock band Heart. SHe was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013 as a member of Heart.
Scope and Contents
The Thomas E. Miller collection is dated 1977 and contains undated materials. The collection consists of sketches and photographs of dresses designed by Carole McClellan for Ann Wilson. The sketches include a concept sketch rendered by Ann Wilson a guideline for a purple suede dress and a green suede dress worn on stage during the Little Queen Tour.
