Scope and Contents
Subseries 1: Audiocassettes spans the years 1961 to 1989 and includes some undated material. The subseries consists of bootleg album recordings, demos, and bootleg concert recordings. These three groupings have not been separated because, in some cases, a single cassette may include all three types of recordings. The subseries is arranged alphabetically by the artist who appears on the A-side of the cassette. When there is more than one cassette per artist, cassettes are arranged chronologically; if no date is available, they are arranged alphabetically by concert location or album name. Because a single concert may appear on several different cassettes, the researcher is advised to look carefully through the entire inventory.

The condition of these materials has not yet been determined for playback purposes. Access copies of these materials may have to be created prior to use. Consult the Library and Archives staff in advance of your visit to ensure access to these materials is available.
