Scope and Contents
The David Gorsky Collection of Audio Recordings and Yearbooks is divided into two series. Series I: Audio Recordings contains nine audio CDs of airchecks and programming from radio stations from the 1950s to 2015. Series II: Yearbooks contains four yearbooks from high schools attended by musicians and record executives. Notable people featured in the collection include Alan Freed, Clive Davis, Herb Alpert, and Diana Ross. The collection provides insight into radio station history and practices as well as the personal histories of four notable individuals. It also serves as an example of the range of interests of music fans and collectors.

Acquisition Note: The David Gorsky Collection of Audio Recordings and Yearbooks was received by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a gift from David Gorsky on January 30, 2018.
