The collection consists of one poster from a Sly and the Family Stone concert in Cleveland from 1973.
Biography / Administrative History
Sly and the Family Stone was an American band from San Francisco, California. Active from 1966 to 1983, Sly and the Family Stone the first major rock group to have a racially integrated, male and female lineup. The core members of the band consisted of Sly Stone, Freddie Stone, Rose Stone, Cynthis Robinson, Greg Errico, Jerry Martini, and Larry Graham. The group helped pioneer the psychadelic soul sound and was pivotal in the development of funk, soul, rock, and psychadelic music. Sly and the Family Stone were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.
