Biography / Administrative History
Terry Quirk is an artist and writer known for creating the album artwork for the Zombies’ Odessey and Oracle and Still Got That Hunger.
The Zombies are an English rock band formed in 1962. Keyboardist and singer Rod Argent met guitarist and vocalist Paul Atkinson and drummer Hugh Grundy as schoolmates. Bassist Chris White and lead singer Colin Blunstone joined shortly after. After winning a beat-group competition sponsored by the London Evening News, they signed a recording contract with Decca and recorded their first hit, "She's Not There." As part of the British Invasion, the Zombies music stood apart with jazz-inflected electric piano and choirboy vocals. Their second and final album Odessey And Oracle has earned its reputation alongside such masterworks as the Beatles’ White Album and the Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds. The Zombies were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.
