- Scope and ContentsThe Jules Belkin Collection is dated 1975 to 1996 and includes undated materials. The materials consists of photographs of the World Series of Rock, printed materials, and posters. The posters are for concerts for Ozzy Osbourne, Eric Clapton, and the World Series of Rock. The collection provides insight into Belkin's role in bringing concerts to Northeast Ohio.
- Biography / Administrative HistoryJules Belkin was the co-founder of the Cleveland, Ohio based concert promotion company, Belkin Productions, with his brother, Mike Belkin. Belkin Productions booked its first concert in 1966 at the Music Hall starring the New Christy Minstrels and the Four Freshman. Simon and Garfunkel, David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, and Aerosmith are among the artists that the Belkins have brought to Cleveland. Belkin Productions also staged the World Series of Rock, a recurring, day-long multi-act summer rock concert held at Cleveland Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio from 1974 through 1980.
