e Shawn Mishak Collection spans the dates 1998 to 2012 and contains undated material. The collection consists of digital images of 142 promotional flyers, handbills, posters and printed ephemera for national and Cleveland area bands, concerts, and other events at venues in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio. Prominent venues represented in the collection include Beachland Ballroom, Pat's in the Flats, Now That's Class, and Grog Shop. Additional materials include an event program for Studio-A-Rama, an annual event held by local radio station WRUW FM 91. (a non-commercial educational college/variety radio station licensed to Cleveland, Ohio), and "Don't Blame Cleveland" zine. The collection provides a detailed record of local Northeast Ohio rock and punk music groups, their circuit of concert venues in the area, and provides insight into the promotion and history of the Cleveland and Northeast Ohio music scene through the work of local graphic artists.

After digitization, original materials in this collection were returned to the donor, Shawn Mishak.

Acquisition Note: The Shawn Mishak Collection of Handbills, Flyers, and other material was received by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Inc., as a gift from Mishak on October 8, 2016 and December 17, 2019. The October 8, 2016 acquisition was made during a Scan Day event, funded by a Common Heritage grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

General Note: A portion of the collection was originally acquired during the October 8, 2016 Scan Day event. Due to quality and preservation issues, the donor agreed to deposit the original materials, as well as the remainder of his collection, for preservation digitization on December 17, 2019.
