Biography / Administrative History
Mort Shuman (November 12, 1938-November 2, 1991) was an American singer, songwriter and pianist. He was best known as a co-writer of a number of 1960s rock hits, including Viva Las Vegas. Shuman was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010 as a recipient of the Ahmet Ertugun Award.
