Biography / Administrative History
The Righteous Brothers were an American duo of Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield known for their “blue-eyed soul.” Originally members of the Paramours, Medley and Hatfield formed the duo in 1963. They recorded three albums on the Moonglow label and recorded their first major hit, “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” with producer, Phil Spector. The Righteous Brothers continued to record until 1968, when they split up for six years to pursue solo careers. They reunited in 1974 and performed until Hatfield’s death in 2003. The Righteous Brothers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.
