- Scope and ContentsThe Bruce Pavitt Sub Pop Collection is dated 1980-1988. The collection consists of the first Subterranean Pop fanzine dated 1980 in addition to Sub Pop 100 compilation LP, Sub Pop 200 compilation LPs, and Rag Doll by Green River. The collection provides insight into the early Seattle grunge music scene and the development of a successful independent record label.
- Biography / Administrative HistoryBruce Pravitt is the co-founder of the independent record label, Sub Pop in 1988. In the early 1990s, the label released recordings from Mudhoney, Nirvana, and Soundgarden.
- NotesAcquisition Note: The Bruce Pavitt Subterranean Pop Fanzine was received by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a gift from Bruce Pavitt on April 13, 2012.
