- Scope and ContentsThe collection consists of one program from the Woodstock Festival and is dated August 15-17, 1969.
- Biography / Administrative HistoryThe Woodstock Festival was held from August 15-18, 1969, on Max Yasgur's dairy farm in the town of Bethel, New York. The original site of the festival was a park in Wallkill, New York, but town officials had the concert banned a month beforehand. The change in venue ultimately forced Woodstock's organizers to open the festival free of charge.
