Scope and Contents
The Destiny's Child Collection is dated 2000 and contains undated materials. It consists of two promotional posters, a five pack of promotional images of Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Roland, LaTavia Roberson, and Letoya Luckett with their signatures, and a promotional postcard for The Writing's on the Wall. The materials are produced by the Destiny's Child fan club, DC-Unplugged. The collection provides insight into the promotional efforts of the fan club and Destiny's Child.
Biography / Administrative History
Destiny's Child was an American female R&B group formed in Houston, Texas in 1990. The original line up consisted of Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson, and LeToya Luckett. The group saw commercial success with their second album, The Writing's on the Wall in 1999. Roberson and Tucket were replaced with Michelle Williams in early 2000, creating the final lineup for the group. Destiny's Child's disbanded in 2006, with Knowles, Rowland, and Williams each having solo careers that varied in success.

Acquisition Note: The Destiny's Child Collection was received by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a gift from Destiny's Child on December 21, 1999.
