The Michael Lippus Photographs consist of photographs of Genesis and The Strawbs performing at venues around Northeast Ohio in the late 1970s and late 2000s, respectively; digital images of a newspaper clipping on a member of the Beatles' promotion team in the 1960s, Marilyn Doerfler; and digital image of promotional photograph of the band Crystalwood. The collection exemplifies amateur concert photography in the Northeast Ohio music scene as well as sheds light on behind-the-scenes details of rock and roll artist and tour management.
Existence and Location of Originals
After digitization, original promo photo and clipping returned to the donor on November 14, 2015.

Acquisition Note: The Michael Lippus Photographs were received by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Inc., as a gift from Lippus on November 14, 2015. This acquisition was made during a Scan Day event, funded by a Common Heritage grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
