- Scope and ContentsThe Smart Art Itineraries contains 245 tour itinerary books created by Smart Art for bands from 1985 to 2015. Many pieces of the collection are tour itineraries for inductees in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Notable pieces range from AC/DC, Pat Benatar, David Bowie, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Kiss, John Mellencamp, Rod Stewart, Barbara Streisand, Donna Summer, Neil Young, and many others. The collection provides insight into the scheduling and travel arrangements of artists on tour from the late 1980s into the 21st century. The Smart Art Itineraries are arranged alphabetically by artist and then by date.
- Biography / Administrative HistorySmart Art Itineraries was founded in 1985 by Campbell and Donna Hair to create professional tour itineraries. The first itinerary created by Smart Art was Tom Petty’s 1985 Summer Tour. The company is based in Los Angles, California but do work for tours worldwide. The tours feature music from a wide variety of genres and include artists from rock, pop, folk, r&b, hip-hop, rap, jazz, and classical music.
