The collection consists of one banner card poster for Squeeze and the Hooters dated August 8, 1985 at Garden State Arts Center, in Holmdel, New Jersey.
Biography / Administrative History
Squeeze was a British rock band that was founded in 1974 and included members Chris Difford (guitar, vocals, lyrics), Glenn Tilbrook (vocals, guitar, music), Jools Holland (keyboards), Paul Gunn (drums), Gilson Lavis (drums), and Harry Kakoulli (bass). The band first disbanded in 1982 and reformed in 1985, with the lineup changing often. Squeeze first came to prominence during the new wave period of the 1970s and continued to produce successful recordings through the 1980s and 1990s.
Hooters are an American rock band formed in 1980 in Philadephia, Pennsylvania. The band gained mainstream success in the mid-1980s with heavy radio and MTV play and were the opening band at the Philadelphia Live Aid benefit concert on July 13, 1985. Members of the band included founders Eric Brazilian and Rob Hyman, David Uosikkinen, John Lilly, and Fran Smith.
