Scope and Contents
The Dodd Darin Collection on Bobby Darin is dated 1960 to 1963 and contains undated materials. The collection consists of nine black-and-white photographs of Bobby Darin, one reproduction of a sketch of Darin, one report card for Walden Cassotto (Darin’s given name), and two original leather-bound scripts for "Captain Newman, M.D." and "Bobby Darin and Friends." The scripts are bound with clippings and photographs from the productions. The collection also contains sheet music for a trumpet arrangement of “Mack the Knife.”
Biography / Administrative History
Bobby Darin (born Walden Robert Cassotto, May 14, 1936-December 20, 1973) was an American musician and actor. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
