- Biography / Administrative HistoryBloodshot Records is an independent record label based in Chicago, Illinois. It was established in 1993 by cofounders and coowners Nan Warshaw and Rob Miller. The label has a focus in indie, punk, and alternative country music, but is attracted to "the music that lurks between genres...the good stuff nestled in the dark, nebulous cracks where punk, country, soul, pop, bluegrass, blues and rock mix and mingle and mutate...artists who work over American roots forms with chains and velvet gloves with little regard for formality or protocol, who aren't afraid to molest and caress these forms and take music into uncharted and exciting waters."
- NotesAcquisition Note: The Bloodshot Records Collection was received by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Inc., as a gift from Nan Warshaw on September 14, 2013.
