- Scope and ContentsThe Collection on Spin Magazine spans the dates 1935 to 2004 and includes some undated materials. The collection contains photographs, slides, negatives, and promotional materials relating to the artists featured in Spin magazine, as well as non-music related photographic material for the magazine's editorial content, primarily during the 1990s. The collection sheds light not only on Spin's content focus during the 1990s but on the artists featured and the photographers responsible for the content as well. A number of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees can found in the collection.
- Biography / Administrative HistorySpin is a music magazine founded in 1985 by publisher Bob Guccione, Jr. The magazine is best known for its treatment of new artists and underground music.
