The collection also includes several pages of supporting material from the book, Cleveland Jazz History.
Biography / Administrative History
Few authentic New Orleans jazz bands traveled as far north as Cleveland in 1961. Those that did include Kid Sheik and his Storyville Ramblers, and bands led by Kid Howard, Noon Johnson, and Ernest "Punch" Miller. Each of these bands played at the Hotel Tudor Arms, located on Carnegie Avenue, during the fall of 1961.
