Go, Johnny, Go! Production Records is a collection of documents relating to the making of the film Go, Johnny, Go! produced by Hal Roach Studios. Included in the Records is invoices, scripts, correspondence, and account statements. The collection provides documentation of the making of the film, as well as an inside look at production companies in the late-1950s to early 1960s.
Biography / Administrative History
Go, Johnny, Go! was a 1959 rock and roll film starring Alan Freed as a talent scout, searching for a future rock and roll star. The film also stars Jimmy Clanton and Sandy Stewart and features cameos by Chuck Berry, the Cadillacs, Jimmy Cavallo, Eddie Cochran, Flamingos, Harvey Fuqua, Ritchie Valens, and Jackie Wilson.
