The Stephen Lacy Collection spans the years 1957 to 1984 and includes some undated material. The collection consists of 28 videotapes (U-Matic, U-Matic S, Betacam), one audiocassette, and three files of notes, letters, fan publications, and publications, the majority of which are related to Jerry Lee Lewis. Other performers, music professionals, and Memphis-based musicians such as BB King, Otis Blackwell, and Sam Phillips are also represented in the collection.

Some of the audiovisual materials in the collection are on defunct media formats and, therefore, are RESTRICTED. Access copies of these materials will have to be created prior to use.
