Scope and Contents
The Yellow Submarine Photographs include three reproductions of film stills from the motion picture Yellow Submarine, and one receipt from the British Film Institute for the purchase of those stills. Items are titled "Cabaret," "Lady Sings the Blues," and "Yellow Submarine."
Biography / Administrative History
Yellow Submarine is a 90-minute animated feature film with the Beatles from 1968. In the film, the Beatles agree to accompany Captain Fred in his Yellow Submarine, and go to Pepperland to free it from the music hating Blue Meanies.

Acquisition Note: The Yellow Submarine Photographs were received by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Inc. as a gift from Doug Niven on July 27, 2010.
