Scope and Contents
The Subject Files (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum Records--Education and Public Programs Division--Library and Archives Department) are an artificial collection created by the Library and Archives of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. Materials span the years 1952 to 2014, and consist mainly of newspaper and magazine clippings, or photocopies of clippings. Many of these clippings were compiled by a clipping service in the 1990s. Additional items in the collection include press releases, promotional brochures, and artist biographies. These files are used primarily for reference, and across the institution for curating exhibits, development, marketing, publications, research, and other purposes as copyright allows. The collection is arranged alphabetically by file title.
