Øyvind Svele is a photographer based in Norway.
Scope and Contents
The Øyvind Svele Photographs collection contains images from two concerts in Norway. The R.E.M. Stavanger photographs, taken at Viking Stadium on June 23, 2005, were printed as a set and sold by the band through their official website. Included in the collection are two oversize lithographs, two 8" x 10" matted prints, and a set of postcards. There are also two 8" x 10" prints from a 2010 Metallica concert: one of Robert Trujillo and the other of James Hetfield. The collection provides visual evidence of band marketing techniques and art rock photography. The photographs are arranged alphabetically by subject.
