Biography / Administrative History
Peter Hujar was an American photographer known for his black-and-white portraits. Born on October 11, 1934, Hujar died of complications from AIDS on November 26, 1987.
Scope and Contents
The Peter Hujar Photographs consist of 11 vintage gelatin silver prints by the artist. Included here is a portrait series Hujar did for Scenes Magazine in 1969 called "Rock Couples."
