- Biographie / Histoire administrativeJerry Allen Veneskey is a Cleveland, Ohio, musician who recorded light teen‑pop singles with MGM Records in the mid‑1960s under the name Jerry Channing. His music saw some success in Japan, especially with the track “Little Girl in the Magazine." Following a long hiatus from the music scene, Veneskey resurfaced in the 2010s, performing locally in Northeast Ohio under the name Jerry Allen, or with the Jerry Allen Band.
- Etendue et contenuThe Jerry Allen Collection on Jerry Channing is dated 1965-1967 and includes undated materials. The collection consists of materials associated with Jerry Allen while he was performing under his stage name, Jerry Channing. The collection contains two record surveys and two promotional handbills, with one handbill promoting the track "Little Girl in the Magazine" and another handbill promoting "When Your Loved Me" and "Lonely Just Like Me". Also included are two identical portraits of Jerry Channing of varying size, taken by photographer Madison Geddes. These materials document Channing’s mid-1960s pop career.
