The Maria Surovy Collection on New Kids on the Block consists of two digital images of concert ticket and setlist from New Kids on the Block performance at Blossom Music Center, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, June 23, 2009. The collection sheds light on choreographed stage cues and effects of a popular boy band during their reunion tour.
Biography / Administrative History
New Kids on the Block (also initialized as NKOTB) is an American boy band from Dorchester, Massachusetts, United States. The band consists of brothers Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood. New Kids on the Block enjoyed success in the late 1980s and early 1990s and have sold more than 70 million records worldwide. They won two American Music Awards in 1990 for Favorite Pop/Rock Band, Duo, or Group and Favorite Pop/Rock Album. The group disbanded in 1994 and publicly reunited in 2008.

Acquisition Note: The Maria Surovy Collection on New Kids on the Block was received by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Inc., as a gift from Surovy on August 27, 2016. This acquisition was made during a Scan Day event, funded by a Common Heritage grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
