Biography / Administrative History
Wings was a British American rock band formed in 1971 by musician Paul McCartney following the dissolution of the Beatles in 1970. The group originated as a collaboration between McCartney, his wife Linda McCartney (keyboards, vocals), and guitarist Denny Laine, formerly of the Moody Blues. The band found significant commercial success despite the band's lineup undergoing numerous changes ultimately leading to a breakup in 1981.
