Jerry Butler Jr. (December 8, 1939–February 20, 2025) was an American soul singer-songwriter, and producer. He was the original lead singer of the R&B vocal group the Impressions. After leaving the group in 1960, Butler pursued a solo career and achieved more than 55 hits on the Billboard Pop and R&B charts. Butler was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991 as a member of the Impressions.
Scope and Contents
The collection is dated 1969 and 2025 and consists of one 45rpm record sleeve for "Only the Strong Survive / Just Because I Really Love You" by Jerry Butler and a copy of Butler's funeral program.
