Buzz Knight has been a strategist and a media executive for decades with leadership roles for multiple prominent companies which includes Beasley Media Group, Greater Media, CBS and Saga. His passion for great content and tremendous brands has had an impact on a diverse list of radio properties across the country.
Scope and Contents
Buzz Knight Audio Recordings contain 129 digital files of audio recordings and transcripts dated 2022-2025. The recordings consist primarily of episodes of the interview-style podcast "Takin' A Walk" hosted by media personality Buzz Knight. Knight interviews a variety of guests about their personal and professional connection to music. In addition, the collection includes episodes of "Music Saved Me," an interview-style podcast hosted by Lynn Hoffman and produced by Knight. Interviewees include many artists and media executives such as Rick Allen, Kenny Aronoff, Rob Barnett, Jeff Baxter, Gerald Casale, Felix Cavaliere, DMC, Mary Gauthier, Jorma Kaukonen, Danny Kortchmar, Allen Kovac, John Oates, Bill Payne, Marc Ribler, Paul Rodgers, Dee Snider, and Matt Sorum. The collection provides insight into the music industry as a whole but also into the individuals' stories and experiences as the podcast format allows for more in-depth conversation to occur. The files are arranged by format and then alphabetically by subject.
