- Biography / Administrative HistoryThe Bubble Process is a two-person design and illustration project started in 2006 by Sean Higgins and Nicholas Rezabek. The two met in 1999 at Kent State University and have been best friends ever since. They live apart (Ohio and Connecticut) but come together virtually, passing their files, ideas, and notes back and forth through their creative process.
- Scope and ContentsThe Bubble Process Posters span the years 2010 to 2023. The collection consists of 16 concert posters for performances held at a variety of venues. Most of the venues are located in Cleveland, OH. Other venue locations include Lakewood, OH, Holyoke, MA, Chicago, IL, and Istanbul, Turkey. Venues include House of Blues, Beachland Ballroom and Tavern, Adelbert Gym, Winchester Music Tavern, Grog Shop, Aragon Ballroom, Gateway City Arts, and Salon Iksv. Artists and bands represented in the posters include Afghan Whigs, Best Coast, Calexico, Dead Boys, Fuzz, Guided by Voices, K'Naan, Kool Keith, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Lemonheads, Low, Soccer Mommy, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Welshly Arms, XX, Yo La Tengo, Built to Spill, Those Darlings, the Briefs, Suzi Moon, Gentle Leader XIV, Doomzday Cult, Muamin Collective, DJ Moist, Bob and the Devil, Purling Hiss, Soft Kill, Heyrocco, IN//VIA, Squirrel Flower, Obnox, Falling Stars, Jason Patrick Meyers Band, Midnight Passenger, and Sampha. Seen in a broader context, the posters provide insight into some of the musicians who performed in and around Cleveland, OH in the 2010s and early 2020s and provide visual artistic interpretations of their music. The Bubble Process Posters are arranged alphabetically by artist.
