- Scope and ContentsThe Collection on Erline Harris consists of four black-and-white photographs of R&B singer Erline Harris, as well as three concert handbills, and one newspaper clipping advertising Harris's performance at the Orchid Room, Kansas City, Missouri.
- Biography / Administrative HistoryOne of the first rhythm and blues singers to use the phrase "rock and roll," Erline Harris was born in Arkansas in 1914. She began performing professionally during the 1940s, often with her husband Ike "Streamline" Harris, and continued performing until 1953. Harris died on January 6, 2004.
- NotesAcquisition Note: The Collection on Erline Harris was received by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum, Inc. as a gift from Dale Comminey on September 28, 2011.
