- Biografie / VerwaltungsgeschichteMurray the K (born Murray Kaufman) was a rock and roll disc jockey based in New York, New York. He moved to the radio station WINS in 1958 and took over the time slot occupied by both Alan Freed and Cousin Bruce Morrow. He was an early American supporter of The Beatles and became friends with the band, ultimately leading to Murray referring to himself as "The Fifth Beatle." His career in radio spanned the 1950s to the 1970s, and he was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 1997.
