The man who revolutionized music journalism. He founded, edited, and published Rolling Stone magazine, the ultimate standard in music journalism. The first music magazine to take the form seriously, Rolling Stone blossomed from an indie magazine to a cornerstone of music journalism under his guidance and professionalism.
Form und Inhalt
The Jann Wenner Collection spans the years 1963 to 1986, including undated materials, and consists of printed materials as well as audiovisual materials. It contains biographical material on Bob Dylan, tour programs of the Rolling Stones, a 3/4-inch U-matic cassette on fashion designer Perry Ellis, and 1/4-inch audiotapes of various fashion, music, and personal events. The collection is arranged by format and then by title.

: The Jann Wenner Collection was received by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a gift from Jann Wenner on March 7, 1995 and January 14, 2015.
