Biography / Administrative History
Debbie Harry was born Angela Tremble in Miami, Florida on July 1, 1945. When she was three months old, she was adopted by Richard and Catherine Harry, a couple from Hawthorne, New Jersey, who gave her the name Deborah Ann Harry. Harry graduated from Hawthorne High School in 1963 and went on to attend Centenary College in Hackettstown, New Jersey, receiving an Associate of Arts degree. In the 1970s, Harry went on to become the lead vocalist for New York punk band and 2006 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Blondie and has enjoyed a successful and respected solo musical career into the 21st century.
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of one copy of the 1965 Centenary College Yearbook. Page 140 of the book features 2006 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee and then-senior Deborah Ann Harry.
