The Tony Roberson Photograph of the Jackson 5 and Cash consists of one digital image of members of the Jackson 5 and the band Cash, from Cleveland, OH, taken circa 1976-1978.
Biography / Administrative History
The Jackson 5 (stylized as the Jackson 5ive), later known as the Jacksons, is an American pop band composed of members of the Jackson family. The group was founded in 1965 in Gary, Indiana, by brothers Jackie, Tito, and Jermaine, with younger brothers Marlon and Michael joining soon after. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
Cleveland-based Cash consisted of fraternal twins Danny and Dennis Roberson, and Jimmy Fleming. They formed in 1974; previously, the Robersons' sang with Earl Gaye & and the Imaginations, a popular local act.

Acquisition Note: The Tony Roberson Photograph of the Jackson 5 and Cash was received by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Inc., as a gift from Roberson on August 27, 2016. This acquisition was made during a Scan Day event, funded by a Common Heritage grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
