James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix (born Johnny Allen Hendrix, November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970) was an American guitarist and singer-songwriter. He is one of the most influential electric guitarists in rock music and was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992.
The Jimi Hendrix Lyrics were purchased by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, Inc. in 1991.
